Behaviour that won't be tolerated:
refusing to listen to people in disadvantaged groups
refusing to learn about disadvantaged groups and their histories
refusing to limit your bigotry
willingly choosing to support bigots
enabling other bigots by either encouraging them or not speaking up against it
refusal to acknowledge your own privileges
lack of empathy, respect, or kindness towards disadvantaged groups
refusal to give every single human equal rights
Examples of disadvantaged groups or communities:
BIPOC (black, indigenous, people of colour)
sick, ill, injured, and disabled people
this includes mental illness, mental disorders, chronic illnesses, addiction, people with "abnormal" looking bodies, etc
poor people (including people on welfare)
homeless people
ALL women
abuse victims (including men)
immigrants/"asylum seekers"
non-Christians (including any other religion)
children
Things you can do to combat your own bigotries, including internalised:
research our histories and current issues
listen to disadvantaged voices, hear our demands
learn how to accommodate and respect us
always call out and correct yourself for bigoted thoughts or actions, past and present
do your best to call out bigotry in other people
work with disadvantaged groups to make a positive change in the world however you can
research police history with white supremacy, queerphobia, classism, etc in your country. stop supporting police
talk to a therapist about your internalised bigotries
